reframe arts fellowship
reframe. restore. reclaim.
The Reframe Arts Fellowship is a 5-10 day immersive arts and culture experience in Israel. Designed for Jewish professionals and their non-Jewish friends in the visual arts (curators, writers, gallerists, collectors, artists, and arts administrators) who have experienced antisemitism, cultural exclusion, or who are simply struggling with the current political and social climate.
This program offers an opportunity to reconnect with Jewish identity through the lens of Israeli and diasporic art in one of the most ancient and beautiful places on earth, while engaging in dialogue with cultural leaders and peers.
As a vital secondary component, our non-Jewish allies and friends are encouraged to join us on this adventure in order to expand their understanding of Jewish culture, creativity, and the diverse landscape of contemporary Israeli art and design.

we are
the nitty gritty
-
Contextual Understanding: To deepen participants' knowledge of Jewish and Israeli visual culture—its histories, tensions, and contemporary expressions
Professional Enrichment: To offer access to leading Israeli curators, scholars, artists, and institutions through private tours and critical dialogue
Restorative Experience: To create space for participants to process experiences of marginalization, and to re-ground themselves in the beauty and joy of the creative strengths inherent in Jewish culture
Allyship in Practice: To provide a framework for non-Jewish colleagues to engage meaningfully with Jewish culture in an environment free of the antisemitism pervasive in today’s art world
Network Building: To foster a lasting, international cohort of art world friends committed to cultural dialogue, ethical leadership, and nuanced storytelling

-
For Jewish participants, Reframe means shifting the lens through which we experience the art world—creating a safe, generative space to engage with contemporary and historical art without the weight of trauma or cultural exclusion. It’s about reconnecting with the joy and purpose of creative work grounded in Jewish identity that has led to some of the most beautiful artworks in human history.
For our non-Jewish friends, Reframe is an invitation to move beyond headlines, soundbites, and media noise. It means engaging with Israel as a real, complex, and creative place made special by the people who live and work there. It’s an opportunity to gain new perspectives and seek broader horizons.
We chose the words reframe, restore, and reclaim because they speak to different parts of the same process:
To reframe is to shift perspective
To restore is to heal what has been fractured
To reclaim is to take back agency and authorship
Fellowship we chose because this isn’t just a program, it’s a journey. And like all great journeys, it’s better when you don’t go alone. In the most traditional sense, a fellowship is a group of people brought together by a shared purpose. And yes, if you’re thinking Lord of the Rings, you’re not wrong. Like that Fellowship, we come from different backgrounds, bring different strengths, and walk side by side into unfamiliar terrain. For Reframe, that purpose is to rediscover art, identity, and connection in a complicated world. We travel, we listen, we learn, and we reflect - together.

Absolutely yes!!
Reframe is for Jews in the visual arts—collectors, curators, writers, artists, gallerists—who are looking for space to reconnect, reflect, and let go of the weight of cultural exclusion or antisemitism.
It’s also very much for non-Jewish friends who want to deepen their understanding of Jewish identity, and to engage with Israel beyond the headlines through art, conversation, and shared experience. We’re so glad you’re here!
If you’re curious, open, and ready to travel with care and purpose, Reframe is for you.
